Role Objective

Our client, a hotel located in Konza, is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Kitchen Steward to support daily kitchen operations by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and proper handling of kitchen equipment.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

•Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, surfaces and work areas.

•Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic preparation and general kitchen duties.

•Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

•Dispose of waste safely and according to hotel procedures.

•Handle crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment carefully to minimize breakages.

•Remove, record and report chipped or damaged items.

•Keep kitchen equipment, utensils and supplies properly arranged and stored.

•Prepare buffet equipment and kitchen items for functions and events.

•Follow all hotel health, safety and hygiene procedures.

•Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.

•Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Specifications and Qualifications

•KCSE certificate or equivalent.

•At least 1 year of relevant experience.

•Previous experience in a hotel, kitchen or hospitality environment is an added advantage.

•Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.

•Willingness to work shifts.
