Qualifications

For appointment to this position a candidate must: Be a citizen of Kenya

  • Have served in the grade of Assistant Director, Physical Planning for period of three (3) years
  • Hold a Bachelors Degree in any of the following: Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Town Planning from a University recognized in Kenya
  • Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Town Planning from a University recognized in Kenya
  • Be a corporate member of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter) and in good standing
  • Be registered by the Physical Planners Registration Board
  • Be in possession of at least Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) lasting not less than six (6) weeks or its equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Demonstrate managerial, leadership and professional competence in work performance and results; and
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
