Job Overview

We are looking for experienced, highly committed, and motivated professionals to fill the position of Insurance Sales Representatives reporting to the Assistant Insurance Manager. The positions will be on a contract basis and renewable based on achievement of set deliverables.

We are looking for dynamic, goal-oriented, and self-driven Insurance Sales Representative to join our team. You will be responsible for generating leads and selling our comprehensive range of insurance products. The ideal candidate will excel at building long-term relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering honest, timely financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation- Identify and convert potential clients into active members through multi-channel outreach (phone, email, face to face and digital platforms).
  • Product Demonstrations- Arrange and conduct meetings with prospective clients to pitch and demonstrate our insurance policies.
  • Relationship Management- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing members to ensure customer satisfaction and high policy retention.
  • Negotiation & Premium Mobilization- Guide clients on appropriate periodic savings and premium payment structures that match their financial goals.
  • Market Intelligence- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends, providing structured feedback to superiors to help refine sales strategies.
  • Cross-Selling- Work closely with internal departments to cross-sell products and maximize value for every client portfolio.
  • Administration & Compliance- Ensure accurate completion of all sales paperwork, KYC compliance, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Effective feedback to your superiors and colleagues regarding sales and marketing activities gathered within and externally from the market.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in any Business-related field (Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Commerce, or equivalent).
  • Professional Certification: A Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance is MANDATORY.
  • Prior experience in insurance sales, banking, SACCOs, or financial services will be highly advantageous.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • High level of integrity, honesty, and professional ethics.
  • Good understanding of local insurance products and regulatory requirements.
