Job Description

Public Service Commission (PSC) Commissioners Francis Owino, and Joan Machayo and Commission Secretary/CEO Paul Famba have arrived in India to participate in a Special Capacity Building Programme on Smart Governance for Senior Public Servants.

The one-week programme, scheduled for 7–12 September 2026, is designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of smart governance, digital transformation, policy implementation and institutional effectiveness, drawing on India’s experience in public sector reforms.

During the programme, participants will explore digital public infrastructure, e-governance, artificial intelligence in public grievance management, land administration, digital public procurement, economic governance, ethics, transparency and anti-corruption.

The Kenyan delegation will also undertake institutional exposure visits, including engagements with district administration officials, TCS Gurugram, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

Other participants include the Director General Kenya School of Government Prof. Nura Mohamed and representatives from the wider public service.
