Responsibilities

  • Preparing and implementing of the divisional budget
  • Managing of operations of the facilities in an effective and efficient manner
  • coordinating, planning and managing of events
  • Participating in letting of vacant properties and rent reviews
  • Repairing and maintaining facilities
  • Initiating the development and review of divisional guidelines
  • Coordinating the implementation of the divisional guidelines
  • Developing long term and short-term Plans for various facilities programs
  • Initiating interventions for refurbishment and modernization of facilities
  • Ensuring optimal utilization of the facilities

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years cumulative relevant work experience, three (3) at management level or in a comparable position
  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Physical Education; Sports Science; Exercise, Leisure and Recreation Management or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized
  • Master’s degree in any of the following: Physical Education; Sports Science; Exercise, Leisure and Recreation Management or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized
  • Certificate in Leadership Course lasting not less than (4) four weeks from a recognized institution
  • Membership with a professional body in good standing, where applicable
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
