Summary: Lecturer in Education Curriculum at Kabarak University. Responsible for teaching and assessing students, developing course materials, conducting research, and supporting academic activities. Requires a relevant Master’s or PhD qualification, teaching experience, and strong research and communication skills. The role is based in Nakuru with duties performed on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and research in Education Curriculum, Curriculum Studies and related areas (four courses per semester)
  • Providing results of assignments, tests and examinations for recording
  • Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects in Curriculum Studies and related areas
  • Setting and marking assignments, tests and examinations
  • Developing and reviewing curriculum materials, course outlines and teaching resources
  • Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the University Management

Qualifications and skills

  • An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in Education, Curriculum Studies or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized University
  • Ability to use modern teaching methods and E-Learning tools
  • At least three (3) years teaching experience at University level or experience in research or industry
  • Registered with the relevant professional body, where applicable
  • A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal papers
  • Excellent presentation, teaching and learning support skills
