Role purpose

The Business Development and Investments Intern will support Zurit Consulting in identifying and developing new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships and delivering accurate investment and financial advisory support. The role is designed for an early-career professional who wants practical exposure to business growth, client engagement, research and investment-related work in a supervised environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business development

  • Research target markets, organisations and prospective clients aligned with Zurit Consulting’s services.
  • Support targeted outreach through calls, email, professional networks and digital channels.
  • Generate and qualify leads, schedule meetings and maintain timely follow-up with prospects.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, pitch materials and client follow-up correspondence.

Client relationship management

  • Support client onboarding, meeting preparation and responses to routine client enquiries.
  • Maintain professional and accurate client records while observing confidentiality requirements.
  • Assist with client engagement activities, webinars, events and relationship follow-ups.

Investments and advisory support

  • Gather, verify and organise client financial data for review by the advisory team.
  • Conduct basic market, investment and product research under supervision.
  • Support the preparation of financial analyses, summaries and client education materials.
  • Ensure that all investment-related work is accurate, well documented and approved before it is shared externally.

Pipeline and reporting support

  • Update the customer relationship management system with leads, activities and next actions.
  • Prepare concise weekly reports on outreach, qualified leads, meetings, proposals and follow-ups.
  • Work with the wider team on campaigns and other reasonable assignments connected to business development and client delivery.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Commerce or a related field.
  • Zero to two years of relevant experience, including internships, attachments, projects or volunteer assignments.
  • Demonstrated interest in business development, financial advisory, investments or client service.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; confidence using spreadsheets is an advantage.

Learning and development

The intern will gain hands-on exposure to business development, client relationship management, financial advisory and investment research. The role will include structured supervision, practical assignments and feedback intended to strengthen commercial, analytical and professional skills.

Professional boundaries

The intern will work under supervision and must not provide independent investment advice, approve recommendations, commit Zurit Consulting to commercial terms or share confidential information without authorisation.
